Waste & Recycling

The City of Stanton contracts with Republic Services for all residential waste collection. Residents may choose to have a cart for a monthly fee or pick up blue bags at City Hall to pay by the bag. If you have questions about your trash pickup schedule or other services, want to add new services, or need to change your service, please contact 800-882-9565 or visit their website at www.republicservices.com.

Republic Services accounts can now be managed from home or on the go through the “My Resource” portal at www.RepublicOnline.com.

Republic Services Holiday Schedule

Recycling is available in downtown Stanton in the parking lot on the northwest corner of Walnut and S. Camburn. These un-manned centers will be available for self-serve 24/7. Please be aware that pick-up of Stanton’s recyclables is on Mondays & Thursdays, with cardboard pickup on Wednesdays, so plan accordingly for drop-off. There is a 1-day delay for holidays.

This recycling is made possible by Montcalm County, which has provided all residents with an alternative direction for recyclable materials that might otherwise be disposed of in a landfill. The items dropped off at our location in Stanton will move on to Kent County’s Recycling and Education Center to be processed and delivered to manufacturing plants to make new products. Below is a visual guide for acceptable items and proper procedures. Further clarification of how to prepare each item type for recycling can be found here on their website. Additional information is available on the Montcalm County website.
